Good question!  What DO we do?  Well, our aim is to make youngsters feel special.  To put some sparkle and love and a few giggles in their day.

Some children, for whatever reason, aren’t always able to be children.  Some children have to grow up very quickly.  They may face a daily struggle – perhaps having to care for a parent or who have a sibling who takes most of mum and dad’s attention.  They may have a problem themselves or may be going through a tough time.  These are the children who, quite simply, deserve to have a smile in their day.

We do this by organising individual treats – or ‘smiles’ for youngsters who are nominated to us.

The requests for a ‘smile’ are modest – a new hair style or an afternoon shopping.  Maybe a family meal or a meal with friends.  Quad biking, a new outfit even to be a mascot for a local football team!  We have had make overs, photographic portfolios, a day at a horse riding stable, a VIP trip to Blackburn Rovers.   We have even organised for a young lady to sing on stage during a panto.

Whatever it is we try and make our ‘smile’ children feel very special and to forget their problems – if only for a day.
